We Are A People

The church is not a place, not a building, not a movement, not an orthodox statement of beliefs – the church is a people.  The church is an imperfect people and you can rejoice in that fact because you can join it and not ruin it.

Discipleship Happens Best in Relationship

It’s the job and privilege of every Christian to be a disciple of Jesus, and it’s the responsibility of every church to make disciples. New Beginnings Church has worked to develop a system that will equip and enable all of the people in the church to be in the relational process for discipleship. The simpler, more deliberate, and more intentional that process for discipleship is, the less time wasted.

We have an expectation for every person to be involved and invested in effective, life-giving, disciple-making: where genuine relationships are built so that transformation can begin, where isolation stops and disciples discover true connectedness, belonging, ownership, and responsibility for New Beginnings Church.

Definition of a Disciple

A disciple of Jesus Christ is one who:

  • Is Following Jesus
  • Is Being Transformed by Jesus
  • Is committed to the Mission of Jesus (Making disciples who make disciples)

D-Group Leaders and Apprentices

Are you interested in becoming a D-Group leader or apprentice? Your first step will be to discuss this with your current D-Group leader or our Discipleship Pastor. It is our desire for D-Groups to multiply and develop leaders and apprentices from within. Being a group that multiplies isn’t just an ideal, it is part of the purpose of D-Groups and part of our purpose as disciples.

If you are a current leader or apprentice, below is the upcoming schedule for training.

  • July  – Intensive Training
  • September – Discipleshift 1

Core Values

God breathed life into His Word. It is our guidebook for living.

2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God[a] may be complete, equipped for every good work.

God expects, equips, and empowers us to get involved in His Gospel mission.

MATTHEW 28:18-20

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

God changes us from death to life and then molds us into the image of His son.

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

God created us to be in relationship with Him and with one another.

MATTHEW 22:37-39

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
